Road surface issue problem

Council ref: 290063.
A drain is culverted under Steeping Road and the westerly direction of approach to this culvert along Steeping Road is in a deteriorated uneven condition. The culvert has dropped significantly causing a pronounced hump over the brick built culvert.

The photo does not show the extent of the problem; the degree of carriageway sinking either side of the culvert`s arch. There is also a pronouced dip in the roadside on the westerly approach which adds to the impact, made particularly by unsprung trailers, which are generally driven with little thought for the road`s deteriorated condition.
