Crack across entire road surface - possibly caused by water board works
Reported in the Road surface issue category anonymously at 15:52, Wed 6 May 2020
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 371086.
Outside of 122 Horncastle Road. Crack across the entire road surface - possibly caused by water board works - also at least one cover is lower than the road surface causing vehicles to shake my entire house.

A team came and addressed the sunken ironworks. Not sure if the problem was fixed since another team came and added an inch of tarmac to the entire road. Result: sunken ironworks - worse than ever. Down the years I have reported this. My house has been subjected to severe vibration caused by passing traffic since 1997 and probably before that. I want the road fixed and it might be an idea to put a 30 mph limit on Horncastle road between Red Cap Lane and Rawsons Lane. Why a limit of 50 mph was set a few years back is beyond me since there is housing from the town end right up to the railway crossing.

Perhaps it’s time l got a surveyor to assess what effect this long-running, oft-reported problem has had on the structure of my house.
