Hedge obstructing Newmarket pavement
Reported in the Obstruction on pavement/verge category anonymously at 12:37, Sun 24 May 2020
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 371629.
A hedge is obstructing the pavement on Newmarket near to the Seymour Avenue junction. The hedge covers more than half of the pavement's original width and means pedestrians have to walk in the road to avoid each other. This is dangerous. If the hedge was cut back to the property boundary and maintained the full width of the pavement could be used, which would improve pedestrian safety. This hedge is outside properties 124 / 130 on Newmarket.

Can you confirm the hedge will be cut back after the bird nesting season ends in August, or soon after? I'm sure it would comfort people who walk this footpath to know the work is being scheduled by LCC for a later date this year. Thank you.
