Pavement surface breaking up
Reported in the Damaged/missing paving slab category anonymously at 14:24, Mon 15 June 2020
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 372439.
About 2 weeks ago a company called Kiely Bros came and resurfaced the pavements in our area. I live at 52 St Aubins Crescent, Heighington, LN4 1GH and there was nothing wrong with the pavements in our street. They were as new as all services had been provided by the builder and they had not been touched. Now we have a black layer of thin tarmac which was put onto the pavement. This is soft and is now breaking up when a car, van or lorry drives onto the pavement. There is a particular problem outside our houses at the end of the road as vehicles have to turn around to go back. They drive onto the pavement ( as there is no curb) stop, turn their wheels while stationary and then reverse back into what is a 3 point turn. This turning of the wheels while stationary is dragging the surface layer off the pavement and leaving tyre marks and ruts . To be honest it was far better before this work was done.
