Flooding of footpath outside number 32 chapelgate during rain, due to stupidly surface dressing of road on wednesday 17th of june.
Reported in the Flooding category anonymously at 11:55, Thu 18 June 2020
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 372565.
Here we go again . Why oh why do your engineers not inspect roads carefully prior to the laying of makeshift top dressing , just how high do you consider the road surface should be above dropped kerbs before you consider doing a proper job, My house number 34 , is approx 500mm below the level of the road . Even a moderate down pour after the chippings were laid causes the footpath at the dropped kerb to flood leaving standing water which in the winter can freeze, causing a hazard to pedestrians.
