Only half a repair
Reported in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 16:56, Tue 23 June 2020
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 372765.
The thornton close junction has been repaired today. But only half of it as the workers could only do the spray painted areas, however the road is still crumbling away. Thanks to cars using it as a turning point. The repair made won't last five mins and I'm in no doubt that the council will be paying more money for the same people to come back and finish the job, which one of the road workers said. Even his opinion was that what they had done was not sufficient. When will the council realise that paying someone to patch up the smallest patch as possible is a false economy and they will end up paying twice rather than once with the correct coverage. We have been waiting ages to get this junction repaired and what we have ended up with isn't much of an improvement to what it was, and it's still just as dangerous.

Why close a case when it's clearly not repaired , the repair that has been done is not up to standard, the junction is still no better than it was before repairs. The fresh tarmac has already been churned up.
