Poor quality resurfacing of paths and road
Reported in the Road surface issue category anonymously at 10:25, Wed 24 June 2020
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 372792.
The road and paths were resurfaced in Rookery Close approx 18months/ 2 yrs ago?? and other residents have previously raised issues. I appreciate that during hot weather the tarmac softens, however this has been ongoing since day one and is particularly bad at the moment. The chippings on the road are loose and you have to take great care not to carry tar into the house on your footwear. The paths are also extremely soft, when we have delivery vehicles in the close they end up taking big gouges out of the path when pulling up outside homes. Only yesterday I had to take a mallet to try and level an area of path back down. The most frustrating thing is the path and road were perfect before this work was carried out, it is totally ruined and has not improved over time. I have attached some photos, which maybe don't show the full extent of the problem as I could have sent many more examples.
