We are sorry but we are not taking further action with this report because when we inspected these traffic lights were fully operational. Traffic lights can sometimes run on a cycle of approximately 90 seconds so although the lights might appear to be on red continuously they are still fully operational. Thank you for reporting this matter.

The lights remain on red despite a queue of traffic at both lights. This usually happens in the morning and seems to happen most days. Whilst the lights do then work later in the day, they then fail again the next morning. Perhaps it is easier and safer to replace the lights rather than rely on a chance inspection when they happen to be working
