Vehicles exceeding 7.5t weight limit Thorney Road, Crowland.
Reported in the Road surface issue category anonymously at 19:23, Wed 1 July 2020
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 373055.
During my time working from as advised by both my employer and the government I have observed, mainly due to the vibration level,a significant number of vehicles above the 7.5t limit using Thorney Road. I assume that the weight limit is in place to improve safety past Snowdon playing field and protect the three legged bridge where the road exits into the town, after becoming South Street. I would anticipate the limit is in place to protect both the road and adjacent properties from damage due to load induced vibration. I hope that you will be able to review this and the need to enforce the restriction.

Chris Gordon
