Sign located in drive

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 373098.
Good afternoon,
I am wanting to bring attention to a road sign that is obstructing the corner of my driveway.
I own a van and have recently purchased a caravan. Although the road sign looks small, it is really in the way and makes it very awkward to safely reverse a van onto the driveway. It is even worse when vehicles from the school park opposite the driveway on a daily basis and that restricts the access even more.
I do hope that there can be a positive outcome to the sign issue.
What I would like is the sign to be moved further down the road or the kerb lowering outside my property, to create easier access onto my driveway when vehicles park directly opposite. I am willing to contribute to the costs of lowering the kerb.
I look forward to your response.
Kind Regards,
Thomas Warwood.

We are sorry we are not taking immediate action with this report. At the time of placement the sign post would have been sited at the most appropriate place with a suitable distance from the school. With this in mind, we will not be taking any action to move the sign. To gain easier access to your drive you could apply for a dropped kerb, information about this can be found at https://www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/ licences-permits/ apply-dropped-kerb You may also be able to arrange for the sign to be re-positioned as part of these works. The organisation and cost would be your responsibility and you may also need to seek planning permission from South Kesteven District Council who can be contacted at http://www.southkesteven.gov.uk/ index.aspx?articleid=8595 Thank you for reporting this matter.
