Oxcroft Bank, Whale and Cox's Drove road cracked and subsided
Reported in the Road surface issue category by Les Browning at 21:51, Mon 20 July 2020
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 373854.
First reported in 2017. Nothing done to address the problem. Locals have attempted repairs which has made Cox's Drove and, in particular Whale Drove, very uneven. Common is being repaired now and was never as bad as the above roads.

Had an email from the Fixmy street to say the problem has been fixerd. All I can say is the council is having a laugh. Filling in two small areas in Whale Drove does not constitute a repair and no way id the problem resolved. What is needed is a complete strip down and renew surface approaching Whale Drove via Oxcroft Bank, large sections of Whale Drove and Cox's Drove, especially after the small hump. This is getting beyound a joke. The cracks in the roads are big enough for a bicyle wheel. I am now seriously considering taking legal advice because our local roads are a disgrace and our vehicles/bicyles are suffering.

We acknowledge that the condition of Whale Drove is less than satisfactory and it has been put forward for a full renewal scheme. There are many similar roads across the county and the demand for this work far exceeds the budget available. The recent repairs were intended to address the very worst of the areas on Whale Drove and will be followed up with further work to seal the cracks where this is possible. These repairs are intended only to try and address the areas in the worst condition pending a renewal scheme. Thank you for reporting this matter.
