Overgrown hedges blocking pathway

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 373860.

The hedge on pathway between Essex Road and Northumberland Avenue, Stamford is now so overgrown its becoming impassable to pedestrians and difficult to navigate safely without scratches from Brambles, also the ivy that is intertwined is growing over and through the fence and shed causing significant damage to our property as the size of this hedge is now too tall it cannot be managed personally. It is also causing damage to the rear of other residents property that live along Sargants Court. It has not been maintained properly for well over a year and requires immediate attention.

  • I have an email saying appropriate enforcement action will take place eventually. The hedge is the responsibility of the council so i am a little lost as to why I recieved this email.

  • This problem was reported on the 21st of july 2020. It has still not been resolved it is now growing into the shed and is causing damage to this also now as well as the fence. If it is not fixed within the next 28 days we will have to seek compensation for damages.
