No road / footpath maintenance

Reported via iOS in the Overgrown tree/hedges category anonymously at 19:08, Monday 3 August 2020

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 374429.

Repeated absence of hedge / road maintenance along Torgate Lane. Hedge overhanging footpath limiting the effective width of the path. This path provides the primary pedestrian route to OAP homes, residential properties, businesses and a very busy Doctors Surgery. All too often pedestrians are having to walk on the road because of the issues identified, this includes residents using wheelchairs and walking frames. Road maintenance - photo shows vegetation growing between the kerb stones and the highway, this inevitably leads to further degradation of the highway and premature failure.

  • Hedging now trimmed but vegetation still growing on the highway? Can you confirm that the upkeep of Torgate Lane hedging etc is now part of a planned maintenance schedule, or are you relying on residents to inform you when it becomes unacceptable and a safety issue?
