Flooding drain outside 16 Fydell Street Boston.
Reported in the Flooding category anonymously at 12:01, Fri 28 August 2020
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 375583.
I'm sick to death of reporting this to you. Every time it rains the drain outside 16 Fydell Street can't cope and the road floods. When cars drive through it splashes the front of the house and causes a damp problem or comes through the letter box. Here's previous reports.......
Low patch of tarmac by drain. Standing water not receeding. Flooding onto path and into 16 Fydell Street. This issue has been reported so many times. Your ref 4106199 and 4109178. The tarmac is lower in the area on the road outside number 16 arround the rain water drain. The water sits in a huge puddle. When traffic drives through the puddle it splashes so high even up above the front door and also sends a bough wave along the path and all the water washes up the front door. The door is new UPVC. All seals have been upgraded and its still letting water in as the volume that hits the door is very great. Water also comes through the letter box.
The report's reference number is 352005. Please quote this if you need to contact the council about this report.

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. The site was inspected on 03 December 2020, it had been raining heavily all day and gullies were operating ok. There are irregularities in the road surface that cause it to hold water in places but this is not excessive and there is a similar amount of water standing at this location to the rest of the road. A resurfacing scheme would rectify this, and schemes of this nature are based on condition assessment. There is not currently a scheme planned for this location within the next few years. The issue is not severe enough to justify a temporary repair or patch in the mean time. Thank you for reporting this matter.
