Large tree trucks
Reported in the Obstruction on pavement/verge category anonymously at 10:05, Mon 21 September 2020
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 376829.
Hi, The road narrowing here has been a problem for a while and has been complained about, today I met a bus, it is a blind corner with old bits of tree trunk beyond your marker barriers on the verge and a telegraph post on the ontherside, today I was forced off by the bus. It needs sorting. No point butting plastic bollards up and not enforcing placement of log chunks in the verge.

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because the verge marker posts are placed correctly. The large logs are on the property owners access and not the liability of highways and therefore cannot be enforced. Thank you for reporting this matter.

So even though they are often right up to the road edge at a dangerous narrowing of the road due to this access being opposite a telegraph post you are unwill to take any action, Your verge marker posts are high enough for a driver to see near his front wing these are not and so are without doubt dangerous. So much for planning or safety...
