Overgrown verge affects visibilty

Reported in the Obstruction on pavement/verge category anonymously at 12:22, Fri 25 September 2020

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 5 minutes later. Council ref: 377062.

Overgrown verge affects line of sight when stood at foot path trying to cross from St Marys Park Cemetry side.

We have experienced a number of near misses due to vehicle speed/inability to see cars due to overgrown vegitation.

In addition the 'SLOW' road surface sign has worn away - but has not been replaced - despite being reported.

Please action both issues.

Cut back vegetation on bank/kerb side/sweep road.

Replace 'SLOW' road surface signs on St Marys Lane.

  • Good afternoon,

Thank you for getting the 'SLOW' road sign repainted.

Unfortunately the 'footpath ' sign adjacent is still not visible to drivers, and this lack of visibility means that your sign does not comply with your own Highways signage requirements - for clear visibility of signs, thus potentially leaving you liable.

Can the vegetation/tree branches be cut back - so drivers can actually see the 'foot path' sign in the red triangle , adjacent to the 'Slow' sign.

Please clear this vegetation/branches within the next 14 days, otherwise I will have to log a complaint, as I have been reporting this issue for several months now.
