Small mud verge 50cm x 3mts outside 4 Burghley Road, PE25 3NJ
Reported via desktop in the Trip hazard/uneven surface category anonymously at 16:42, Tue 13 October 2020
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 378038.
We have just moved into 4 Burghley Road, relocating from Warwickshire, there is what appears to be remnants of a small grass verge directly outside our house,
Since my short time here I have observed a number of cars parking half on the pavement, which is a clear indication why the grass has gone and now it's a mud hole, hazardous to potential trips and falls has arisen.
The area is approximately 50cm by 4 meters, the surrounding area Is a tarmac pavement, I can not understand why this small area was not fully tarmaced in when the pavement was constructed.
Now we are coming into the wet autumn weather, this hazardous area will only potentially get worse, This is an accident awaiting to happen as we do have a lot of pedestrian traffic along Burghley Road with dog walkers and visitors to and from the Vine Hotel.
Please could you use swift action for repairs before someone trips and causes themselves serious injuries, and a substantial liability case is put forward.
Kind regards Richard James. 4 Burghley Road.

Such a sad final response from the council,
But not surprising due to the narrow minded penny pinching bureaucrats running the establishments these days... it's a shame to let such a simple rectification job, spoil the appearance of a beautiful area and prevent a forthcoming trip or fall accident happening, or maybe it shouldn't be referred to accident as it's been brought forward and documented to the councils attention.
