Increased accident area - must be as a result of road surface issues
Reported via desktop in the Damaged road edge, encroaches more than 100mm category anonymously at 09:52, Fri 16 October 2020
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 378196.
There has been a significant and unusual number of serious accidents on the B1178 between A15 and East Mere Farm in recent weeks. It suggest a problem with the camber or surface of the road - considering there have been no incidents for many years previously. The concern is that what are currently relatively serious accidents, will end up as fatalities or much more serious if the road is not reviewed as a matter of urgency to identify what the problem is.
