Hedge damaging HGV mirrors and paint work.
Reported via desktop in the Overgrown tree/hedges category anonymously at 21:46, Fri 16 October 2020
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 378239.
The hedges on London Thorpe Land in Grantham are overgrown and are encroaching upon the road. there is also broken branches protruding from the hedgerow. This problem is on the opposite side of the road to Belton park golf club. or on the left has you come down the hill from Alma park road Industrial estate. all the hedge needs cutting back and the broken branches need removing. I drive a HGV and have to drive in the middle of the road to avoid hitting my lorry mirrors on the hedge. I have damaged the Mirrors and paint work on my truck several times when other vehicles come in the opposite direction and I have to move over to avoid a collision. All us truck drivers would appreciate the hole hedge been trimmed back from the road and the branches removed. Has car drivers you don't have this problem. I'm sure you wouldn't like your £90,000 motor brushing the hedge every time you drive down the road.
Regards Bryan .

Over growth is obstructing the view of the traffic at junctions and hiding the safety signage. Large vehicles are having to encroach onto the uphill oncoming traffic lane to avoid the overgrowth causing damage. The other end of the Lane the overgrowth is reducing the usable footpath forcing pedestrians close to the edge of the road.

Still nothing has been done about this problem. Can you please cut the hedge back before the bird start nesting. Bryan
