Numerous potholes on Thomas Street
Reported via mobile in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 23:31, Sun 25 October 2020
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 378675.
As per the previous reports in June 2020, the potholes were filled and this temporarily resolved the issue. The problem is that the potholes are caused by what appears to be an underground spring, meaning water runs down the road 24/7. This combined with vehicle traffic has created the potholes once more. Anglian Water were advised of the spring as the water stems from an area they’ve previously worked on (middle of the road, in line with 2A/2 Thomas St) but they now state it’s nothing to do with them. Unless the issue of the running water is resolved, we are going to have the same issue regarding potholes every couple of months.
