Just to confirm ,I have just met your Stephen Roe at Taymar Way and would like the council to look at re-tarmacing the surface to Tamar Way owing to its extremely poor state. I have over 20 photos showing the present state of the surface to Tamar Way. This is without doubt the worst surface on any road within the estate.

  • We acknowledge your concerns and we are aware of the condition of this road. It does require more significant works than pothole repairs can provide however the pothole repairs are the only fix suitable in the meantime. The potholes are shallow and this means they won't always stay filled, obtaining suitable compaction isn't possible and because of the overall condition its not suitable for saw cut repairs. This has all been noted and submitted on a scheme brief for consideration for possible future works. It is a no through residential route so speeds and traffic volume are low and with the potholes being shallow they are not a safety concern at present. However, it will continue to be inspected regularly in line with our inspection regime and any defects actioned as and when necessary in line with our policy. Thank you for reporting this matter.

State changed to: No further action
