Problem at other roadworks problem
Reported via Open311 in the Problem at other roadworks category by Customer Services at 14:08, Fri 20 November 2020
Council ref: 4154598.
The residents here are being kept awake all night with the sound of traffic thundering by. He thinks it is due to the works being done by Network Rail on Barrowby Road. Is there anything we can do - such as putting up signs/speed restrictions etc. He has lived there for 10 years & has never know anything like it before!

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. The noise/disruption is because of the increased traffic due to the Network Rail closure of Barrowby Road for them to carry out essential works on their structure. Additional signage would not reduce the amount of traffic and the speed limit here is 30mph, which isn’t achieved due to the location being on a tight right hand bend. This diversion route was approved by all parties involved as the most suitable diversion route during the closure of Barrowby Road. Thank you for reporting this matter.
