Damaged dyke, ditch or culvert problem
Reported via Open311 in the Damaged dyke, ditch or culvert category by Customer Services at 09:45, Fri 4 December 2020
Council ref: 4155026.
Rain flows down the road in Covenham st Batholomew down Grange lane, sometimes to ankle deep in places during even normal rain. Since new houses were built at the top of the road this has been a problem. They now also get muddy water as well which they never used to have. This has been a problem over last 18 months approx. There is not really anywhere for the water to go, as the dyke on opposite side of road is so full it's nearly flush with the road now.

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because the site has been checked and no major issues have been found. New homes are not adding to the problem as water has always run down the lane. Dykes are working but verges are damaged from agricultural vehicles due to the narrow width of the road which do recover in summer. Thank you for reporting this matter.
State changed to: No further action
