Dangerous Junction
Reported via iOS in the Visibility at junction or bend category anonymously at 21:36, Fri 11 December 2020
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 381651.
Hedges and trees have overgrown excessively at this junction and encroach on the 1m highway boundary, making visibility coming out of Lutton gate onto SouthEau bank exceptionally dangerous. Hedges need to be reduced back to improve line of sight, stopping accidents and near misses at this junction occurring. Luttongate road sign is also covered with foliage and no longer visible on East side of Luttongate/southEau bank.

Please confirm why the visibility had not yet been improved on this junction, and why the hedge hasn’t been cut back to reveal the Luttongate road sign?

Please confirm why three months on work still hasn’t been carried out. Foliage is now growing again and visibility is deteriorating further, especially for vehicles that are low to the ground, ie not 4x4 or van height.

This hasn’t been fixed. The foliage is still overgrown and visibility is getting worse. Luttongate road sign is also hidden by bushes. Please confirm why this has now been changed to “fixed” when no action has been taken?
