Drains blocked from Lyons Hill to bottom of Peasgate Lane along with large potholes now full of water
Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 20:54, Tue 15 December 2020
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 381977.
I reported this issue a few weeks ago and someone came out today in an orange BMW and was taking photos of a drain further up the road where there are no issues. We asked if she had been down the road any further and was advised that she only went as far as Lyons Hill. We explained that the drains and major potholes were further down the road. She asked if she could turn round down there and we advised yes. We said we would wait for her to turn round and come back down and we would wait and point out the drains and potholes. We waited 30 minutes but she never came back down so believe that the drains and potholes in question have not been looked at. As the verges are constantly being driven over by tractors, lorries and vans that are too big for this single track road it is chewing the verge up and all of this mud is on the road and when it rains it is washing into the drains which are blocked again and the road floods in several places along with peoples gardens as the water has nowhere to go. The increased traffic and weight of this traffic has also caused the potholes that are now present. This road was never designed for the amount and size of traffic that now use it and was only ever supposed to serve the few houses that are down the lane. Please can this be rectified as soon as possible along with the clearance of the mud on this public road.
