Road floods during heavy rain
Reported via Android in the Flooding category anonymously at 00:33, Wed 16 December 2020
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 381991.
The section of the A52 from this marker towards Heath Road has no drainage system underneath the road.
During heavy rain there are many sections of the road on both sides that force water to pool making for dangerous hazards.
Drivers will often drive over the center line or are forced to aquaplane through the water which is dangerous when travelling at speeds up to 50mph.
The worst section is between Warth Lane and Heath Road where the digital speedometer sign is.

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because the carriageway is in good condition and at the time of inspection, following heavy rain, the running surface for traffic was satisfactory, with no flooding. We would advise drivers to drive to the conditions during heavy rainfall and slow down if necessary. Thank you for reporting this matter.
State changed to: No further action
