Traffic lights in highway no repairs being done
Reported via desktop in the Timing issue category by David Sylvester at 16:20, Mon 21 December 2020
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 382315.
These temporary traffic lights were placed on Friday the 18 December as of now no work done, if your dates are correct they are due for removal tomorrow. Why have they been there for 4 days causing an unnecessary delay? Who pays for this cost? Thank you
Thank you for your report. We will investigate and make an update to this report within 14 days.

There are two defective reinstatements in this area, both the responsibility of Fulcrum Utility Services. Lincolnshire County Council has been pushing Fulcrum to get these rectified. A permit was granted to carry out these works from Friday 18th December to Tuesday 22nd December. We believe that due to labour and staffing issues Fulcrum postponed the works in the run up to them, but did not inform the Traffic Management company who still placed out the temporary traffic lights. We noticed these lights whilst on a recent inspection and immediately spoke to Fulcrum requesting an explanation and that the lights were removed as soon as possible. Upon re-inspection the lights had been removed. We have told Fulcrum that this type of miscommunication is not acceptable and a non-compliant inspection has been logged on the permit. There is no cost to Lincolnshire County Council for this, as all Traffic Management and permit costs are paid by Fulcrum. Thank you for reporting this matter.
State changed to: not the council's responsibility
