Flooding problem
Reported via Open311 in the Flooding category by Customer Services at 09:30, Tue 29 December 2020
Council ref: 291302.
Email received - I am Robin Roffe living at 4 St Andrews Road Spalding
On 24th December after heavy rain once again St Andrews Road and Wentworth Close became flooded causing flood water to enter some garages and nearly entering some homes. I understand you are aware that this is caused by faults with the drains but no action seems to be taken! Whilst gully suckers came along the road mid December clearing drains it has made no difference. One heavy rain and we again suffer flooding. This is totally unacceptable.
Cars passing along the road cause bow waves which endangers adjacent properties.
It is impossible to walk down the road.
Water levels are heightened for all properties.
Insurance for residents will become more difficult and expensive.
It is therefore imperative that action is taken remedy the drainage problem against future adverse weather.
