Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 382904.
I'm writing on behalf of my elderly neighbour who's property has suffered from poor road drainage for several years. Despite.many attempt to contact the Highways and maintenance she has been meet with little or no response to the issue.
The Property in question (Stone Pitt Cottage Canwick road Washingborough Lincoln LN4 1HS) is stone build and is set very close to this busy road. The surface water directly adjacent to the North facing wall after heavy rain is so severe that cars and lorries are barely able to pass through it.. The height the water spray reaches is quite troubling. Not only is this damaging the property it is hazardous to pedestrians and road users.
Having experienced road drainage issues myself on the same road. I have considered clearing the two perfectly adequate drains already in place that lead to the main drain directly alongside the north wall. The issue could be a simple clearing of both these drains to allow the Standing water to drain into the main sewer.
The situation is now desperate as the wall is permanently wet throughout the winter and coursing damp in the house, please advise as to the next step or who to contact to resolve this issue.
Mr Anton Gaul Riplyn, Canwick road Washingborough Lincoln LN4 !HS
