Numerous potholes and dips which are barely unavoidable
Reported via mobile in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 19:16, Mon 4 January 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 383174.
Between Moor Lane and the traffic lights at the junction there are very deep potholes/dips in the road as you go towards Lincoln. The dips in particular are very large and to avoid you have to get extremely close to the middle of the road or curb very likely to cause an accident. Dips are likely due to the ground sinking and will no doubt cause extreme damage to the road and vehicles until fixed. Issue has been present for well over a year.

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. An officer has visited this site recently and whilst we appreciate your comments the profile of the road does not require intervention. This road would require a full reconstruction to eliminate the bumps that this report refers to, which is not financially viable as the road is safe. We drove the road at the legal speed limit of 30mph and had no issues. We have issued some pothole repairs along this road for the odd pothole that has opened up but again these are not dangerous and will be repaired within the appropriate timescale. Thank you for reporting this matter.
State changed to: No further action
