Dangerous railings

Reported via mobile in the Bollards (unlit) category anonymously at 14:25, Saturday 9 January 2021

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 383659.

The railings on Galley Hill were damaged weeks ago and temporary fencing placed. This fencing is not safe, whilst walking my dogs a car drove by and clipped the plastic fencing and caused it to move into the footpath. When is this being replaced? Someone could get seriously injured if a car hits the plastic fencing!

The plastic fencing is blowing about in the wind and has come apart from each other, leaving the footpath open to the highway. It is likely the plastic fencing may blow into the road which could be hazardous for drivers and pedestrians alike. Also a number of cones have blown over the fencing into the overgrowth.

  • Road safety

Enquiry details: I was running on the pavement over galley hill Sleaford this morning, and whilst trying to avoid tripping over the plastic safety barriers that have been laying across the pavement for a matter of weeks or months, I tripped on another hazard and rolled into the main road. I was a matter of seconds away from being hit by an oncoming car. The metal barriers there have been awaiting replacement for months. The plastic temporary replacement barriers are completely insufficient and spend most of the time laying across the pavement causing a hazard to pedestrians.
