New development causing excessive damage to structure of the carriageway
Reported via desktop in the Road surface issue category anonymously at 12:17, Tue 12 January 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 383867.
A new property is being built down Chapel Lane which has planning permission. the construction traffic is now causing extensive damage to the surface and the structure of the road. this lane is predominantly a footway with only one house previously having vehicular access. with the construction work this lane is starting to get dangerous for pedestrians of which Partney has a high proportion of retired and elderly. This lane is used for access to the School, bus stop, village hall, church and pub for many people and is also on a popular walking route for locals and visitors. The traffic currently using the lane is totally out of proportion for what is essentially a footway and ruts of at least 100mm already exist in the carriageway which causes safety issues to pedestrians

One of my neighbours has reported that people have fallen due to the damage. This area is not lit so it is very dark and impossible to see the surface.
