Flooding due to damaged drain or blocked drains
Reported via desktop in the Flooding category anonymously at 22:53, Tue 19 January 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 384894.
There is no drainage working properly on the far side of the road on the first corner of Godsey Crescent opposite my drive. Last time there was a flood situation the water came as far as 1 foot from some houses., right up their driveways. It was impossible for me to get out of my drive as the water was so high and was dangerous. My car became damaged as the water forced rubber from behind my front right bumper, now it is hanging down and rattling. I have reported this twice to South Kesteven with no results. It is really dangerous and we are now anticipating a further flood this week. There have been two incidents lasting several days since 23rd December. Is this being ignored because this is a Council house area? I am 68 and at the centre of the problem on the corner at number 58, my neighbours are both in their 80s and can't get to their car when this happens. We are really scared and wonder why no-one has done anything up to now? I don't know the length of time this has been happening but I have lived here for 2.5 years and it seems to be getting worse each time we have heavy rain. These photographs were taken on 24th December, a day after the worst of the flooding.
