Multiple potholes over 100m stretch east of marker
Reported via desktop in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 16:08, Fri 29 January 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 386235.
An LCC contractor attended several weeks ago and spent several hours patching the potholes previously reported. It was noted by myself and several other road users immediately on completion, that the standard of work was questionable to say the least. Time unfortunately has proved this to be correct. All the repaired holes are not completely open again and additionally, three new gaping and deep holes are now providing hazards. It is impossible to avoid driving into and out of some potholes on one section. The stretch of road is from the map marker (one large hole) then heading eastwards for some 100m. Other holes have also opened up again near the Scout Hut at the Louth Road end. I'm sure there was good ratepayers' money thrown at the contractors; please don't throw any more good money at them after the bad.

At 08:34 hrs today, you have updated this incident stating the works are complete. This is absolutely untrue. At 08:15 hrs today, contractors arrived and commenced work. They have worked - so far - on 5 holes. They state they have 19 holes listed. So clearly you are ultra-quick in closing the incident even before the work is halfway complete, despite the sorry fact that the contractors are UNABLE TO REPAIR A SIGNIFICANT NUMBER OF EXISTING DEEP POTHOLES because they are not on their list. And that reason for that is because you have taken such an inordinate amount of time to attend to the list, that the existing potholes have of course widened and new ones have developed. So the contractors - with whom I have no issue - are contacted to ONLY REPAIR WHAT IS ON THAT OUTDATED LIST AND and will therefore on their own open admission, be leaving without repairing all the potholes on this road, understandably because they will not get paid for doing the sensible thing.
Do you imagine this is acceptable? Your policy assures incomplete and short-lived repairs as today's repairs will suffer accelerated damage due to surrounding unrepaired holes. Unacceptable. And I'm willing to bet that you will not have someone attend to inspect the completed work and therefore see for themselves what I am describing. The contractors are fine. Your management of this neglected road is not.

Simply closing this incident without an update doesn't make it go away. Will you please address the points raised and update.
