Brittle old tree needs cutting back
Reported via mobile in the Overgrown tree/hedges category anonymously at 19:46, Wed 3 February 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 387110.
The extremely large apple tree outside numbers 8 & 10 Wisteria Avenue, Branston is very overgrown, lots of the older branches are very brittle. Last year it seemed that all of the trees around Branston were trimmed/cut back, however this tree seems to have been missed. In fact in the 3 1/2 years we lived here the tree has not been assessed. A couple of neighbours, and ourselves have removed branches that were causing obstruction. There have been 2 incidents we know of where 2 different people have been scratched on the face by branches hanging at face height over the pathway but of an evening the pathway is not lit well at all. We actually really love this tree but would just like to see it trimmed back and made a little less of a beast.

Good Afternoon
The gentleman who assessed the tree on Mon 21 June and spoke to me stated that the tree would be trimmed so I am somewhat confused that this issue has been marked as ‘no further action’ and closed. Please can you update.
