Reported via desktop in the Road surface issue category anonymously at 11:56, Thursday 4 February 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 387182.
This problem has been reported a number of times over the last few months. I walk along the road every day and it is getting worse. There are two manhole covers nearby and I am of the opinion that the sinking road surface could be caused by a broken drain which is washing the subsoil away under the road and may eventually collapse causing something like a sinkhole.
Thank you for your report. We will investigate and make an update to this report within 14 days.

The street lights in the Gloucester Road area seem to be switching on later and later in the mornings. I normally wait until they are ON to take my dog a walk. Surely now the mornings are getting lighter, they should be coming on EARLIER and not LATER ? I know it is to save energy but they seem to be working as if the mornings are getting darker as in Autumn and not lighter as we approach Spring.

We are awaiting Anglian Water to attend to CCTV their assets at this location. We chased this up again with Anglian Water on 01.03.2021. We have also raised a job for temporary uneven road signs to be taken out to warn road users. Thank you for reporting this matter.
