Long term oroblem, job started last year and abandoned?
Reported via mobile in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 20:43, Fri 5 February 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 387442.
Many potholes on Marine Avenue from outside approx no 13 and into the cul de sac called Bucknall's Meadow. Work was started in Summer 2020 but was abandoned near the very bad section at the junction of Bucknalls Meadow. They left two cones in the road, which now months later are still there. I checked this site in November 2020 and thought it said the work would be done in early December. That report has disappeared. Road surface very crumbly and difficult to find a flat section when crossing the junction on foot.

This is a very bad section of road which has had three 'quick fixes' in the last four years. Each time the road surface is 'repaired' it quickly disintegrates again. Its condition now is the worst it has been for some time. The last works were left unfinished with some 'marked for repair' sections (white spot on road) left untreated and traffic cones left in the road (still there). The potholed and very rough road surface cannot be avoided but must be negotiated by all wishing pass as there is no alternative route. Surely it is time that this section of road was properly resurfaced.

Can LCC give us an update on this please. There is no work in progress for us to see. The dozens of potholes and crumbling road surface are worsening. A little work on the smallest potholes was started a year ago and when they got to the worst part they left it. This is taking far too long. It is really bad next to a dropped kerb so as well as our cars risking damage pedestrians cannot use dropped kerb safely.
