It deteriorates every time it rains more than a shower. Drainage needs looking into.

But you're quite happy to send an ACL drain cleaning wagon down Louth bypass and fairfield industrial estate clearing drains that have never shown any evidence of the slightest blockage? Yet leave the blocked gulleys on Louth bypass and the blocked drains on Legbourne Road that back up with the slightest down fall!!

LCC, as I live along this road, I see this road flood during every heavy downpour. The flooding extends half to two thirds of the road, and can be over a 300mm deep, and sits on the inside of the bend due to the camber of the road. I suspect the drainage on that side of the road has either collapsed, or is full of tar and stone from excessive resurfacing every 3 - 5 years.

Flooded again, drains are not capable of moving this amount of water. This road needs the drains cleaning out / rodding / checking why they aren't moving water

I called Lincs police tonight regarding this matter as the water was more than 50% across the road. As it is on a bend and opposite a junction this is putting lives in Lincs highways hands. Low and behold, shortly after, we have "FLOOD" signs, if this isn't admitting liability, what is. So how about Lincs highways look into this fault as to why our drains (that we pay council tax for) are not able to shift water. And don't use the excuse there has been a lot of downfall, how many other roads in Louth flood at the sight of a few hours of rain. I have picture evidence of the signs and will keep ringing Lincolnshire police if the road is flooded again, hopefully they have more pushing power towards yourselves than us little people, hey?

We are sorry that we are not taking immediate action with this report. Our records show that the drains in this area were cleaned in the last year and were running well. In times of extreme weather even the most efficient systems can become overwhelmed. If the problem recurs in less extreme conditions please report this again. Thank you for reporting this matter.

LCC, if you say the drains were cleaned within the last 12 months, why are they all rammed solid with soil. Just because your computer records say they are fine, does not make it so. I suggest you come and take a real good look for yourself. There is extensive building works taking place at the end of the row of housing. Mud is being washed down the street and filling the drains. But also, the drains directly opposite Erisbie junction are inadequate for even modest rainfall, and flood very quickly. I expect to see a LCC highways inspection before you rubbish this issue off again.
