Flooding across access road to school
Reported via mobile in the Flooding category anonymously at 10:38, Sun 7 February 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 387647.
Regular flooding after rainfall covers 90-100% of access road to Robert Pattinson academy at junction with Moor Lane. Flooding is forcing pedestrians to step out into, and walk along, South-bound carriageway of Moor Lane to navigate across access road. This is particularly hazardous when school gates are closed meaning access road cannot be crossed by walking onto school property (i.e. during hours of dusk or darkness).

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report this will be investigated when possible. We're currently receiving a high volume of reports of flooding across the county. We are prioritising issues where water has entered people's houses and where water covers over half of the carriageway, which could endanger road users. Unfortunately, this means it can take us longer than usual to respond to other flood-related incidents. We've had some extremely wet weather recently, which has resulted in saturated ground and very high water levels in streams and rivers. This means that sometimes, even if road drains aren't blocked, there is nowhere for the water to go, so it takes a lot longer than usual to drain away. Please rest assured we'll be checking all the drains once we've finished responding to the most urgent flooding. This location in particular is the start of a private road so what is highway drainage and private will need some investigating. Thank you for reporting this matter.
