Deep water on road with holes/dips
Reported via mobile in the Flooding category anonymously at 12:07, Wed 10 February 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 388099.
The water on the road is getting worse. My daughter drive through slowly yesterday, she couldn't drive round the water as there was on coming traffic, she got further down the road, the car started making a funny noise, next thing her tyre blew. There must be a pot hole under the deep water at the side of the road. The tyre had split on the wheel rim. It was a good job she was driving slowly, unlike some cars I witnessed yesterday when I walked down to the road, that were driving very fast. It is very dangerous on that part of the road, and a big accident waiting to happen.
Why can't a big trench be dug to the field on the left as you are going towards North kyme, so that some of the water can drain off the road.?
It has been like that for months now. You can go down mill lane to miss it, but mill lane is an awful road with bumps and dips and large potholes on the sides. It is a dangerous road too.
Especially on this icy weather we are having, the water on the road will freeze and make the road so dangerous.
Please get it sorted out before something very bad happens.

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because this is where the River Skirth has burst it's banks. The Environment Agency are aware and were on site. We cannot just dig a ditch as it is not our land and would still leave the carriageway covered in water. Thank you for reporting this matter.
State changed to: No further action
