Massive stretch of Halmer Gate

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 388657.
We have lived here 2 years now and the road has continued to deteriorate in that time. Small fixes with patches just doesn't work, the whole road needs to be resurfaced. Turning out of Maple Grove onto Halmer Gate even at the slowest possible speed you will spin as there is so much loose stone. Along Halmer Gate passed No 60, 58, 56 towards the zebra crossing the road is so bad with potholes and dips it is ridiculous. I have noticed this last couple of months there seems to be more lorries coming down this road than ever before and I wonder if they are deciding to come this route and think they are saving themselves time rather than going on the A16 which they should be doing. Our house is shaking everytime a lorry goes past and has definitely increased. There is an awful lot of traffic that speeds as well which is quite shocking when its all so close to a school. I am going to contact the police to ask if they can set up a speed check area here in the future. Halmer Gardens and Exeter Drives have extensive puddles at the entrance as well so when you are out walking you have to try and avoid huge massive puddles. It is long overdue for some investment on the roads here it makes it look very untidy.

After a recent visit to site we acknowledge your concerns and accept that the highway has deteriorated in condition and as such, the road has been included in part of a larger scheme for it to be resurfaced. In the meantime, we have assessed the faults in accordance with our Highways Infrastructure Asset Management Plan and we will continue to monitor the site as part of our routine inspections of the highway and will carry out the necessary repairs to areas which fall within intervention levels. Thank you for reporting this matter.
