Overgrown and under managed diseased trees
Reported via desktop in the Overgrown tree/hedges category anonymously at 17:33, Mon 15 February 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 388810.
Hi,
The trees on Windermere Avenue need some looking after as they have now become dangerous with regular dead branches falling and some have over extended property.
One trunk is full of water and I notice that The trees on Kinder Avenue have been done and not Windermere Avenue.
Could I kindly request that you send your tree surgeons out to take such remedial action to prevent in further accidents and or near misses?

We live with the same issues we are for ever picking up branches and sometimes 1mtr long if one hits the older lady gentleman on the head it will kill or seriously injuring them not to mention the damage to my vehicle

We have the same problem with large trees near the corner of the Fen Lane car park that have grown very tàll and have branches over hanging several of our gardens adjacent to them. There has been past promises to prune them to a manageable size over the last two years, so hopefully it will happen before they come into leaf this year.

Photo of tree branches which extend over garden boundry shown above, (that causes problems with leaves and smalbranch shedding at various times of the year)

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. The Tree Officer inspected this area in March and the only works recommended were some light pruning and this was/is a low priority and we need to prioritise more urgent tree works for now. We have made a note of the recommended works however and will possibly include it next year/before the next nesting season commences, (unless the lower branches become more of an encroachment n the meantime). Thank you for reporting this matter.
State changed to: No further action
