  • The hedge line at this location (along the A52) is not maintained by LCC, it is the original boundary line to the land that was present before the properties along here were built. When the houses were built this hedge line became the boundary to the individual properties, therefore it is the responsibility of the home owners to maintain. In a lot of instances developers put up fences on the inside of the hedge, this does not mean that the fence line is the property boundary. All cuttings will need to be removed by the homeowner in this instance. The trees alongside the A52 are the responsibility of LCC to maintain and a job has been raised to undertake works at this location in due course. To find the owner of the land you could contact Land Registry at https://www.gov.uk/ government/ organisations/ land-registry Thank you for reporting this matter.

State changed to: not the council's responsibility
