LAck of road drainage causing flooding
Reported via desktop in the Flooding category anonymously at 11:33, Wed 10 March 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 5 minutes later. Council ref: 391535.
Oldham Drive, Pinchbeck I’m led to believe there are no road drains on Oldham Drive, and given Oldham Drive is lower than the main carriageway, heavy rain runs off into Oldham Drive, and into some of the gardens of Oldham Drive. The property known as 1 Oldham Drive is particularly affected.

We have received a high volume of reports of flooding across the county. We are prioritising issues where water has entered people's houses and where water covers over half of the carriageway, which could endanger road users. Unfortunately, this means it can take us longer than usual to respond to other flood-related incidents. We've had some wet weather recently, which has resulted in saturated ground and very high water levels in streams and rivers. This means that sometimes, even if road drains aren't blocked, there is nowhere for the water to go, so it takes a lot longer than usual to drain away. You can help by letting us know where standing water isn't receding a few hours after rain stopped. Thank you for reporting this matter.
