Verges are never cut, when others in the village are
Reported via desktop in the Collapsed verge category anonymously at 11:52, Fri 26 March 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 393201.
Peach lane is NOT a private road and is the responsibility of LCC. However no verge cutting has ever been done to my knowledge in the last 5 years. As a result, the hedges each side are reseeding towards the road. The road is narrow to the point that two cars cannot pass if a pedestrian is walking, and most walkers are elderly from the retirement park the road serves. Please do what we pay for , and cut the verges.

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. Peach Lane is a rural no through road and as such forms part of the flail cutting regime. It won't receive an amenity cut therefore as the village does. We have many rural single track roads bounded by verges, that walkers, dog walkers and cyclists use. Unfortunately we only cut these verges as previously described and won't change the regime for isolated sites. Thank you for reporting this matter.
