200mm drop in road surface across 2m section - causing undertray and front bumper damage to vehicles with normal or low clearance as they pass leaving evidence of paint, plastic and metal abrasion to the road surface (see photo) . It is impossible to avoid this section of road from either North or South direction as residents are legally parked on Northbound side roadside outside properties. Lincs council road sign warning triangle is in place when approached from the North however there is no warning when approached from the South

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. Due to the continuing issues with this section of road, a temporary road closure has been effected. The road covered by the closure is currently unsafe to run traffic on due to structural issues with the underlying soil strata. Anglian Water has identified a leak with a water main in the vicinity which may or may not be causing this issue. Anglian Water will be making repairs and Lincolnshire County Council Highways will be undertaking laboratory testing to determine any underlying faults with the sub-soil. There is no quick and easy temporary solution available in the meantime. It is prudent now to keep the road closure in place until all repairs/investigations have been concluded. Thank you for reporting this matter.
State changed to: No further action
