Disintegrating trench on southbound carriageway
Reported via desktop in the Road surface issue category anonymously at 15:59, Thu 6 May 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 396042.
There is a real issue on Lodge Lane for cyclists. A long trench - presumably an old utilities trench - has been resurfaced but is badly disintegrating leaving a highly uneven surface and occasional deep potholes. This trench runs southbound along Lodge Lane exactly the distance from the kerb where cyclists need to be. This is dangerous as cyclists either have to ride along this uneven surface or ride further out into the carriageway where cars don't expect cyclists to be. We would ask that this issue is addressed swiftly please. We believe that LCC's various policies to encourage sustainable travel - cycling and walking plans, green masterplans and so on - would allow you to prioritise this repair. Lodge Lane is a key route for cyclists as it connects to the cycle track running along the A158 into Lincoln. Many thanks Nettleham Parish Council
