Ramp left by road works
Reported via desktop in the Problem at LCC roadworks category anonymously at 08:24, Friday 14 May 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 396601.
Here we go again, contractor made no effort to fix or improve the ramp last night after a number of request to County Highways. Looks like we will have the lorries thundering over it all weekend, neighbour has put a vehicle out again to try and slow the traffic. Not the best thing but it reduces the vibrations a little. Its bad when residents have to take matters into their own hands. Lets hope the county respond today!!!!!
Thank you for your report. We will investigate and make an update to this report within 14 days.

Yesterday evening the ramp received more tarmac. Thank someone was listening!!! Been OK this morning and neighbour has not parked a vehicle out as yet. Not a true test as we don't get the lorries over the weekend just lot's of cars. Let's see how we get on Sunday afternoon and Monday

Thank you The road was finished off last night and we are not being shaken to bits every time a lorry thunders over the ramp at 40mph Maybe one to think about when doing a project like this in the future. I know it easy to hold out and ignore the complaints knowing that the road will be replaced in time but not the best customer service! Also feel the signing and guarding was poor, there should have been more warning signs before the ramps and a reduced speed limit. Yes I know some drivers may have ignored them but I think most would have slowed as they wouldn't want to damage their vehicle. We look forward to the next time, about every 10 years!!!!
