Overgrown hedge reducing pavement width

Reported via desktop in the Overgrown tree/hedges category anonymously at 21:33, Mon 17 May 2021

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 396826.

Can hardly ride a cycle along this section of cycle lane. No room for mixed use of the pavement with hedge overgrowing path. Significant width reduction. It has been like this for several years.

  • This issue is ongoing the hedge and overgrown elder are in proximity to the school. At various times during the day the path is needed for two way pedestrians and the edge of the road is not an option due to parked cars. Overhanging branches restrict the height, preventing cyclists using the cycleway. It is not possible for two pedestrians to pass each other with social distancing in mind. It is often that pedestrians will walk in the gutter of the road which is hazardous on a bend with busy two way traffic.

  • This is an ongoing issue every year. I can supply the property number. The privet hedge blocks at least half the cycle way / footway. This has NOT been dealt with.

  • The drain cover on St Thomas Drive opposite number 5 is loose and looks like it's collapsing, it makes a loud noise every time a vehicle drives over it
