Problem not even adressed but claimed as fixed

Reported via desktop in the Damaged dyke, ditch or culvert category anonymously at 14:45, Wednesday 2 June 2021

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 397938.

Ref 4125463

Incompetent is the only word to use which is polite, no work was done to my drop kerb, the neighbour who had no issue yes but not mine, how useless is this system, I asked for a site meeting, no joy, I found the workman bust today and they decided not to do anything about my side as the kerb is at the correct level, despite being told to refit five herbs by their gaffe as they told me. So not fixed , not even addressed, Megan I want a meeting on site , I cannot believe the complete lack of concern , competence or even ability to resolve this .

You take my rates and taxes under false pretenses .

  • I have now taken photos of the two problems so you can use these to aid you in your investigation.

Note photo of footpath shows water beginning to flow over the pathway after the light rain we had today 4/06/2021 the other two photos show the water flowing over the drop kerb down my driveway and into my property . It is obvious that the drop kerb is visibly out of level in the photos and forms a low area down which the weather flows. This is compounded by the blocked storm water drain twenty meters up from my driveway which also features a new system of draining water in that the pipe it connects into has a fracture in its bend which of course means even if unblocked more water would flow into my property.

So now to reiterate my previous request which was completely ignored, please could we arrange an on-site meeting . Please also note the contractors who attended site were shown the problem despite this they claimed the kerb height was correct. Please note I advised them that I felt they needed to carry out the repair but as they had done my neighbours drive which had no fault they could not do mine as they had done more on the neighbours then they should have.

My mind absolutely boggles at the complete waste of taxpayers money for this repair and the fact the road was partially blocked for more then half the day.

I expect an immediate meeting to resolve this and I will be making emergency arrangements to stop flooding which I will invoice the council for. I will carry out these works on 8/06/2021 weather dependant. I have no choice as the constant flooding when we do have rain is now causing extreme damage to my outbuildings and contents. As I know you have both my mobile and home numbers may I ask you to contact me on my mobile as first choice. I will again attempt to reach someone with a modicum of authority on Monday 7/06/2021 . This matter is still ongoing since 2019 and it seems unless I fight nothing will happen. I must make you aware my next steps will be to contact the press and ask for assistance from them in reaching someone in authority to sort this matter.
